About me

In march I was inspired to do some playtesting. I ended up doing 30 in the first month and got a lot of positive responses. So I keep going!

I was immediately glad I started – playing demos made me curious about games again – I have immediately noticed that I get attached to the games I have tested.

On almost every 3rd playtest I have created, I got a happy response from the devs and I have realized that its much needed and that I can be helpful and have something to get better at. (speech, structure & games in general)

If you are interested – I usually do at least 45 minutes first impressions, and adding anything that I think could be worth changing in the game – coming from around 20 years of experience in playing games.

My goal: To get good at playtesting get some interesting games to test. I do all the reports for free almost every day but tips are much appreciated.

Positive public feedback

Thank you so much for the incredibly detailed playtest and feedback report. I truly appreciate the amount of time and effort you put into analyzing every aspect of the game. Your notes were extremely valuable, and I’m honestly grateful for how thorough and constructive everything was. … Thank you again for your hard work, support, and professionalism. It genuinely means a lot to me and to the project. I’ll definitely stay in touch and contact you again in the future =)

Case 0 Demo by Sergey Chebotok

Hi!

Thank you so much for such a thorough and well-structured playtest report! The timestamped notes and the optimized site version are incredibly helpful – we genuinely appreciate the effort you put into this. … Report vs. video: Both are valuable, but the written report with timestamps is easier for us to quickly scan and forward to specific team members (QA, level design, etc.). The video is great for context, especially for UX or atmospheric issues. … the sections are clear and useful. Splitting by mechanics, exploration, and technical notes works well. We’re reviewing your feedback internally and will address the key points in upcoming hotfixes. Thanks again for helping us make ForMind better! …

There are people in your walls Demo by bad_ideas_digital

Really appreciate you taking the time to do such a thorough blind playthrough and breakdown of the demo. This kind of feedback is incredibly valuable, especially from someone going in with zero prior knowledge of the game. A lot of the points you brought up are things I’ve already started addressing internally, especially readability, interaction clarity, onboarding, and surfacing progression systems earlier in the experience. Hearing those same friction points echoed by a fresh player helps confirm where the rough edges still are. … Thanks again for putting this together and documenting everything so clearly. Seriously helpful stuff.👍

After the End Demo by No Cigar

Thank you very much! This was a great playtest with lots of valuable feedback for the early private playtest build of the game!

The version on your site was great, the time stamps for each specific issue/feedback are very useful, It helps to see the thing happen, and your thoughts exactly at the time. Very nice to see specific sections of what went well and friction points. Overall, the sections, timestamps, and accompanying text are much more helpful than a standalone video.

Thanks again for the early playtest and all the feedback, very helpful! Glad to hear you enjoyed the combat and curious storytelling, definitely going for a mysterious, curious vibe, so glad it was conveyed.

Wow great feedback man!
It was very helpful and I liked it a lot.
We will be looking into these details.
The report is definitely interesting and useful, especially for us developers.
The video alone wouldn’t replace it.
You’re already on track professionally just by presenting feedback this clearly.
Thanks a lot!
